The 2015 JACL/OCA Leadership Summit successfully concluded on March 24, 2015, with twenty-six participants from across the nation visiting Congressional offices to advocate for education and immigration policies relevant to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.

Highlights of the summit included: meeting former Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta at the welcome reception; a White House briefing with the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) staff; dinner with Doua Thor, Senior Advisor of WHIAAPI; and a speaker series with Congressman Mark Takano and Mike Honda.

Special thanks to our generous sponsors State Farm and Southwest Airlines, and to the National Education Association for donating the use of their conference space.
