As a chaperon, you are still a participant at the Conference with the ability to enjoy all Conference workshops, events, and meals. The only difference is that you will be responsible for the well-being of up to 20 youth members who are not yet 18 years old.

We are looking for energetic responsible adults to act as chaperons for the 2009 JACL National Youth Conference.

As a chaperon, you must follow the conditions listed below:

• I am over 18 years of age.
  
• I am chaperoning no more than 10 attendees before 9pm (20 attendees after 9pm) under 18 years of age.
  
• I will be staying at the Macalester College residence hall room or suites during the 2009 JACL National Youth Conference (June 26—June 28, 2009)
  
• I will be physically in the St. Paul area during the Conference.
  
• Though I may leave the conference site for personal or other reasons, I understand that my primary obligation is to act as a chaperon for the indicated attendees below and/or the attendees I am assigned to chaperon
  
• (Optional—only if you know youth attendees you will be chaperoning) I will be responsible for the whereabouts of (Name of Youth or Youths - attach additional sheets as necessary):

Note: After review of Chaperon registration and agreement materials, you may be subject to an interview with National Youth Chair Kimberly Shintaku or National Youth Representative Brandon Mita.
